"These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy"(1Peter 1:7-8)
"Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the lamb has come and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen bright and clean has been given to her."(Revelation 19:7-8)
Translation:
It's your wedding day. You know all there is to be known about your groom; There is nothing not to love about him, however there is a catch... You have yet to gaze upon his face and embrace him. Before the ceremony, you become anxious, you can hardly believe this day has finally come... You struggle with the thought "I've been so unclean, how will he ever recognize me?" regardless of this you put a on brave face.
In your white gown that your husband to be has given to you, you slowly approach the alter; Your groom's face is fixed upon you. As you get closer you can hear the pounding of your heart growing louder in your ears. All the music stops and the groom's graceful and steady hand reaches out for yours. The groom lifts your vail and looks at you lovingly, directly in the eyes; piercing and all-knowing. Quickly he draws you close and embraces you tightly. What do you feel at that moment? Inexpressible and Glorious Joy.
In that moment, your love does not treat you like a stranger but as one he charishes and loves beyond how much you could have ever imagined. He knows the inner most desires of your heart, has counted each tear you have cried, and regardless of all the things you have done wrong he has refused to stop loving you. Think about it... You are at the alter in white... Not peach. You have been purified by refiner's fire; everything you have gone through comes down to this one moment.
